how to call an international number from saudi arabia (for people who live in saudi arabia)

how to call an international number from saudi arabia (for people who live in saudi arabia)?
i have a friend who lives in the states (Idaho) and want to call he's cell phone from my cell phone i never called an international number before how do i do it? and how do i know if my phone can call international numbers? i use a Zain Prepaid Card by the way

You have to dial 001 and then your friend's number without the beginning zero, You will know if you can make international calls when getting connected.

well my relatives in the states dont have 0 before their cell phone numbers like we do here in Saudi, so when I dial them.. its just 001-xxx-xxx-xxxx. just putting 001 before the area code and 7 digit phone number..

sometimes when we recieve an international call, the number starts with + it means 00, when you want to call back mobile does not read + as 00, so you have to dail by writting 001..... not +1...
