If conservatives hate freedom so much, why don't they go live in Saudi Arabia?
See how stupid that question sounds? Sounds just as stupid when directed at the other side. Hey "fallen..." I don't think dems or repubs want to limit the freedom of law obiding citizens - they want to curb it for criminals - which will never work. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand Libs or Cons. Nice one Lumpy - you sound very intelligent. This was a great pot stirring question; as I cannot stand either extreme. I like the original fiscal responsibility of the republicans, and the social liberalism of the democrats. Hey "That Guy". I am completely willing to believe you , if you give me a credible (no right or left wing bias) source for everything you just listed.

It does sound rediculous. Unfortunately, it is easier to back up that claim with liberals. Many of them aren't in favor of freedom and there are plenty of example for this. They do wish to remove guns from law abiding citizen thereby violating the 2nd Amendment. They want socialized government run health care, limiting choice and control over your own health. They want to limit freedom of speech as displayed with the firing of Don Imus for his words and opinions. They furhter display this with their support of the "fairness doctrine" aimed at shutting talk radio down. Why can't they just learn how to compete in the market place? They take control of privately held companies with unions and "Affirmative Action". How about a business gets to decide who they want to hire. They ban smoking in private business. They are even going as far as controlling people's heat and air conditioning in people's private homes in California. Part of Tittle 24, hasn't passed yet but they are pushing. They believe in major government control, as if they know what is best for you. It's not hard to see... and these are just a few right off the top of my head. There are many more examples.

That Guy seems to be forgetting that it's free speech incarnate when a private organisation fires some one for doing something it doesn't like. That's free market baby!
