I would rather live in Saudi Arabia becasue thats where the prophet Mohammad lived his life.
3 :
only SaudiArabia( and Meccah Muqarrama)
4 :
I would love to live in Saudi Arabia, Insha'Allah! Why would i want to live in Turkey? They had a hijab ban! Turkey had a hijab ban, and all the Muslim girls who wore the hijab were forced to take it off when they arrived at their college campus and etc!
5 :
Nowhere, but just for the question's sake...uhh Saudia Arabia but Iran would be much preferable as I'll much closer to my Imams (as) there.
6 :
Saudi Arabia. Very easy choice. Invincible: In Saudi Arabia I'd be closer to my Rasulullah (saw). But regardless, as a Muslim, it doesn't matter how close we are physically, but what we do to show that love. If it makes you feel better to be in Iran so that you can be physically closer to your Imams, so be it. That's awkward though.
7 :
Turkey, it's my home.
8 :
Saudi Arabia
9 :
That is a difficult choice. Saudi Arabia because it is "The Land of The Two Holy Mosques" in Mecca and Medina the two holiest places in Islam, it is the where the Prophet (saws) lived. But there are restrictions on freedom of expression and movie theaters are banned. Turkey because it is a democratic, secular, unitary and constitutional republic, it is not as hot. But like said before, Turkey is supposedly a secular country and the constitution recognizes the freedom of religion for individuals, whereas religious communities are placed under the protection of the state; but the constitution explicitly states that they cannot become involved in the political process (by forming a religious party, for instance). Despite this there was a hijab ban which is contradictory to their government policies.

If i am perfect muslim i can live any where in the world.personally i will preffered to live in turkey because the people over there need to know more about islam.they are not fully aware so as a muslim it is the duty of every one to create awareness among the people about our beloved religion islam.
11 :

16 :

18 :

19 :
it is not as easy as you think but if you wanna live go to maddina peaceful place
20 :
Arabia!
21 :
I was surprised that I see answers between Saudi Arabia and Turkey!! Islam is not in Saudi or Turkey my brother and sisters!! Every Muslim should know that the best place to live in is Madinah! Then Makkah. This is the right answer and those who prefer Saudi on Turkey or Turkey on Saudi or even Iran; I say to them you are mixing Islam with something else. God bless you all.
22 :
emm for a Muslim Saudi Arabia is the best place in the earth why do you mentioned Turkey in this comparison? Suadi Arabia is better than my home country as a Muslim it's the heart of Islam where islam started and there is Makkah and Madina lol i just laughed at a shiite answer which says Iran yes Iran is good place for shiites but not Muslims and it was funny he is want to get closer to Ali(as he said) so he took Iran why don't you took Saudi Arabia specially makkah and Madina and get closer to Allah ? and for Ali(ra) he lived in Saudi and died there not in Iran
23 :
Neither !
24 :

I'm not living in Makkah but I can answer your question .. all of Al masjed alharam immams are the best in reciting the Quran , but in my opinion I think Abdalrahman Al sudays & Saud Al shurym are the best . About Meshari Alafasy he is a person who sings islamic songs without music and has a very nice voice at reciting the Quran.
2 :
My favourite is Abdur Rahman Sheikh Sudais, and Sheikh Shur'aim is very good too, MashaAllah. These two are the most popular Haram Imams. Sheikh Al-'Afasy is actually from Kuwait, he isn't an Imam in Makkah. He has his own satellite channel. This is his website: http://www.alafasy.co.nr/ Sheikh Sudais is the most famous Imam of Haram, in my opinion. Salaam alaykum

How come Americans expect all people from Saudi Arabia to live in tents and ride camels

because their close minded, and think that they are God.
2 :
We are God, but that isn't why. You see, in stories and pictures that were told and drawn by various people showed these ways of life. Now of course we learn in school that this isn't so. So unless your talking to 5 year olds, I'm not sure where your getting your information.
3 :
Because they wear diapers on their heads, sandals on their feet, ladies scarfs to keep their throat warm and necks covered. Correct me if I am wrong but aren't there still people in Saudi that do in fact live in tents and ride camels.. If it wasn't for Americans the Saudi's would still be in the dark ages..where do you think all the technology came from and the US is still giving them this stuff since they can't fin for themselves and develop their own country and stay out of religious wars..If Saudi was that great how come there are so many in the US and UK living and working raising their families etc etc..How come the Saudi's can't build their own airplanes, and defend themselves from the aggression in the mid-east..the US has to do it..read your history and you will find your answers..Good Luck
4 :
Same reason they expect Egyptians to live in Pyramids and ride camels to school. They like to stereotype people
5 :
there are many Saudis live in tents for pleasure reasons (camping) and others live in tents as main homes.

Does Shari'ah law apply and live on in Saudi Arabia

Does Shari'ah law apply and live on in Saudi Arabia?
If you know anything about modern day Saudi Arabia, please feel free to share. Anything and everything is appreciated!

Yes, Saudi is by Islamic law.
2 :
I'm afraid that Shari'ah law does exist in Saudi Arabia.
3 :
yes in theory it does.. but having said this.. You dont see heads rolling in the streets from executions of murders.. Also the punishment of chopping off a hand if you steal is also not common, even though its on the books/law.. I frankly have never seen a one handed person in my life here in Saudi.. I also have never witnessed an execution, even though they are welcome to the public to use as a deterant for future criminals to keep the morality high.. Saudi now is being pressured by the human rights groups of the world and they more than likely just deport criminals, or throw them in jail for life..
