Why are Jews and people with Jewish surnames from entering Saudi Arabia

Why are Jews and people with Jewish surnames from entering Saudi Arabia?
Isn't this racist? Wouldn't you rightly complain if the USA or Israel banned Muslims from entering their country. So why is Saudi Arabia allowed to do it to Jews. And don't say it is because of religion. It is not. Nowhere in the koran does it say that Jews should be banned from Saudi Arabia. Jews are classed as people of the book. And they were Jewish tribes living in Saudi Arabia before Muslims

This is a question even my super intellect can't answer lol. Yes this is racist, I'd ring Saudi Arabia and drive your point home.
2 :
Probably because the Saudi's can't pronounce Jewish names?
3 :
yes, you are right, it's appualing. But don't forget that this is the backwards country that does not allow women to vote, they cannot leave the airport unless a male realtive or husband comes to pick them up, they are not allowed to drive... It's messed up how this is going on in modern time and no one really knows or cares about it. I guess all i can think of is for you to keep talking about it
4 :
Good question but I wouldnt know, but your right that sounds or it is racist.
5 :
i'm not sure. maybe they don't trust them. personally, i think everyone should be able to go anywhere they want. unless it was harmful or whatever.
6 :
Are you kidding? The Saudis have been doing that for decades. They don't discriminate. Instead they just say that anyone who wants a visa to enter the country must prove that they are of good character by providing a reference from their own priest. No priest reference = no visa.
7 :
I believe the law is people from Israel (who may or not be Jews). Saudi Arabia is its own country and can do what it chooses to do. I believe all this comes from the Palestinians being displaced with the creation of Israel.
8 :
Because Saudi Arabia authorities care more about their political agendas then they care about being right and following what the Koran itself says in regards to the peoples of the Book. Good Luck!!!
9 :
Saudi Arabia allows people of any religion to enter main land but only Muslims can enter mecca, this is because to Muslims mecca is like a mosque, people go there to pray.
10 :
I would never enter that hell hole to begin with. Why would anyone CHOOSE to go to the middle east, what a cess pool.
11 :
No it's not racist. The Saudi Government doesn't want Jews of Israel descent coming into their country and filling the women's minds with ideas to leave Islam I imagine and the Government doesn't like people who support Zionists and are responsible for butchering thousands of innocent people and raping Muslim women and girls. Edit:Men and women are not allowed to vote. The country is a monarchy. The women don't need to drive and would be in danger of driving anyway since the men in Saudi Arabia drive like maniacs 90 miles an hour down the streets and "accidently" run over Indians and anyone else who gets in their way.

Dear Colours, some American Jews who wanted to get employed with American companies in Saudi Arabia got rejected. They went to court for being discriminated and got turned down. The Americans did not want to spoil the KSA relationship over that! Now, question your own judges. Take care
13 :
this is not true. there are a lot of jewish people who live in Saudi Arabia. However, israelis are not allowed to enter as there is the Arab-Israeli problem. All religions are allowed to enter and/or reside in Saudi Arabia except the two cities of Mecca and Madinah.
14 :
Many of the Arabian Jewish tribes become Muslims thousands of years ago and they still until this day have their same Jewish family name .Anyway, It̢۪s well knowing that the Israelis or Jewishs are not allowed to enter the Kingdome in the other hand, the Saudis or many Muslims are not allowed to visit masjed Al aqsa or enter the holy land because of the Arab Israeli conflict.. I believe if this conflict solved this discrimination from both sided will end.
15 :
for the same reason that Israel preventing native Palestinians with Muslim"s name from entering their home land.

first , God bless Saudia for doing that ..I'm not Saudi but i love Saudia for doing that and i wish all other middle east countries do that second , it's not racist at all , but if u want the real answer for ur question - which i guess u won't like- read the Islamic history u will find a black background full of hatred and betray (sooooooooooooo much) from the Jews..read the Islamic history in saudia Arabia and u'll find ur answer sooo clear finally, read the history in general..Jews is a religion not a country & israel never been a country it's a name of the people who followed the prophet "mousa" there is no country for jews ..there is no country for spacific religion..for example..there is no country for (only muslims) and there is no country for (ONLY chiristians) but jews..ooooh no they won't accept that ,they have to make a country for their own relegion..but they have no land,so what to do? go to palastin kill , rape ..etc wars since then till now to take all the land killing kids before adults to erase the palastinian kind..who is the racist ???!!! i won't say more..just read the history ..read true books

You are correct about the "People of the Book" and this decision is not Islamic, but political. However, you seem to forget America is a democratic country, Saudi Arabia is a Monarchy. The government can do what ever it wants. It does not have to ask its people what they think, because the King is not worried about getting re-elected. And just like in America, not everyone agrees with the government, but unlike you, they are not free to express this. And as far as Israel banning Muslims, they do. And the US does have many laws which are racist in origin. Especially with the new Homeland Security Acts. People from Arab Muslim countries, especially Saudi Arabia, are discriminated against when they enter the USA simply because they are Saudi.

Thats not true, there ARE jews living and working in Saudi Arabia.
20 :
Saudi Arabia is a wickedly racist and oppressive place. But they can do what they want because they've got the black liquid. Check the book "Hatred's Kingdom" and the books by Ayaan Hirsi Ali
21 :
although I agree with what "H" has said.. I think its the Israeli nationality or stamp on a passport that gets you rejected upon trying to enter Saudi.. Cause I have many jewish friends working here... I dont know how they managed to get here, they are NOT however from Israel.. but they got here fine and are treated fine.. and come and go on vacations each year like the rest of us..

I had a Jewish American Professor at the university in Riyadh , his name was Benjamin. Judaism is a religion it has got nothing to do with nationality. Some Arab countries have Jewish citizens e.g. Morocco and Yemen.

My Fiance wants me to move to Saudi Arabia, to live in the American Compound. I don't know if I should go

My Fiance wants me to move to Saudi Arabia, to live in the American Compound. I don't know if I should go.....
Hi, My name is Tameka. My Fiance got a civilian contracting position in Saudi Arabia. He wants me to move there (along with our 3 children) to live in the American Compound.. Can someone give me some insight.. I live in the U.S. and I am kinda scarred to move there. Safety is a big issue for me, especially since I have my children that will be going as well. Am I stressing for no reason? Or, should I stay in the U.S. during his contract. I have a tattoo on my left hand of a cross, and I know that this country is prodominantly Islamic. I really hate being seperated from my Fiance, but I need reassurance that this is a good idea. Is it anything like Iraq or Afhganistan? Can someone please help me with this situation? The contract from what I know would be at least 1 year. We would definitely get married before going over there (that's if I go)... What would be the pros and cons?

Saudi Arabia is possibly the most violent, intolerant, despicable country in the world. Stay where you are.
2 :
how long is the contract? and how well do you do in a confined area? as long as you stay on the compound and you don't mind being a homebody, you'll be plenty safe probably... but if living like that bothers you and you're the type of person that likes to go other places and run around a lot... probably not the best place for you...
3 :
I don't envy your making this very difficult decision. I know that I would not go to Saudi Arabia because you would be limited to the American compound just as though you were in jail. If you left the compound (I am not sure you can) you would have to wear a burka and a sheet covering your body. In other words you would have to conform to the Muslim code of dress. Remember, Saudi Arabia is the heart of the Islamic religion and they are VERY strict. It would not be fun. In fact, I would think that it would be agony. What about the children? They would go to an American school....what kind of school? How good is it? I wish you good fortune but I would stay in the good old USA.
4 :
The people who think Saudi Arabia is a bad place are ignorant. It's not bad. It's just too hot and their women have to wear burkas. Here's a suggestion: Instead move to Iran where people are open-minded and they love foreigners. It's beautiful and modern in Iran. You will def love it there. :)
5 :
Women are not respected there, and I certainly would not go to Iran when there is the possibility of Israel attacking them. If it were me I'd stay out of the volatile middle east.
