like if you get arrested for speaking your mind or any thing els like that or something that you did in america that is legal but isn't in saudi arabia can you call the U.S embassy and then they get you out or take back to america or something like that or are you out of luck?

The only rights you have are the Saudi Arabian ones, if you're lucky the embassy may help you out with minor offenses, but it's nothing to rely on.

Dream on! You are bound by a set of rules which are decided by the Saudi Royal Family. You have less rights than a Saudi man. For example, if you are in a taxi and the taxi has an accident you are responsible for the welfare of the taxi driver and his family. Think about it for a minute. If you had not hired him, he would not have had that accident ! Be careful in Saudi very careful.

The American system is founded on the notion that rights exist in nature and was poetically explained in the Declaration of Independence with these words: "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable rights, and that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." The US Constitution DOES NOT grant rights, as it is the American belief that rights EXIST. The US Constitution and the included Bill of Rights (which are the first 10 Amendments to the US Constitution) exist to limit government so that, hopefully, government doesn't violate the rights of individuals. Rights exist in nature and ARE NOT granted to us by any government and not by any document. Moreover, the same rights exist for all people, everywhere... So, yes, ALL people, no matter what their nationality or where they happen to be at any time have the same rights. Morality is one thing, legality another. If an American citizen comes under prosecution in a foreign nation which recognizes and has diplomatic relations with the US, it is possible that the US citizen will get help from the US diplomatic mission in that nation. Same holds for foreign people in the US, they might get help from their diplomats stationed in this nation. It's always important to keep in mind that rights exist in nature, that ONLY individual people have rights (government doesn't have rights---only people do) and to remember that when rights are violated, most often it is done by government or with help from government. Government, to be legitimate (and none are, not here, not elsewhere) must be limited SOLELY to protecting the rights of the individual. That was the intent in founding the US government, that is the promise. It's just a promise which has yet to be realized. And hey, who the hell wants to go to a craphole like Saudi Arabia anyway?

I would not bet on it, if arrested........Unless it is "newsworthy". Remember; "your not in Kansas anymore"..........If they execute you by mistake over there, your reletives may get a few dollars and a note saying " Ooops", sorry.
